• Who is Sydney Sterlace? Sydney Sterlace is a singer and musician who appeared in the 26th season of ‘The Voice.’ She gained recognition through her music and continues to work on her singing career.
• Early Life and Birth Date: Sydney Sterlace was born on October 28, 2008. She grew up with a love for music and began her singing journey at a young age. Her passion for music led her to audition for various singing opportunities.
• Start of Music Career: Sydney kicked off her music career in November 2019 when she auditioned for the acapella group called Acapop! Kids. At that time, she was 11 years old and impressed everyone with her rendition of ‘Stone Cold.’ This marked the beginning of her professional music journey.
• Joining Acapop! Kids: A few months after her audition, Sydney received the exciting news that she had been accepted into Acapop! Kids. Between July and November 2020, she participated in the filming of ‘This City,’ which allowed her to meet fellow group members like Griffin, Naisha, and Bri’Anna.
• Photoshoot Experience: In October 2020, Sydney took part in a fun photoshoot with other talented musicians from Acapop! Kids. She later shared the pictures on her Instagram, expressing gratitude for being welcomed into the group. She felt happy to meet new people and join the Acapop family.
• About Acapop! Kids: Acapop! Kids is an acapella group created by the members of Pentatonix. The group was formed to find young singers and beatboxers between the ages of 6 to 14 from the U.S. and Canada. Pentatonix auditioned 84 children before forming the group.
• Formation of Acapop! Kids: Scott Hoying, a member of Pentatonix, formed Acapop! Kids in October 2017. All members of the group are younger than 17 years old. Since its formation, the group has gained fame and even made an appearance on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show.’
• America’s Got Talent Experience: Acapop! Kids competed in Season 17 of ‘America’s Got Talent.’ For their audition, they performed an original song called ‘My Turn,’ written by Nolan Gibbons, a group member who passed away in 2020. They received four yeses from the judges and advanced to the next round but were eliminated in the semifinals.
• Singing Canada’s National Anthem: In January 2024, Sydney had the opportunity to sing Canada’s national anthem at a Buffalo Sabres ice hockey game. She was very thankful for the chance and expressed her gratitude in a simple post on Instagram.
